Advance Your Career at DWC Construction

Build great places to work at a company that always strives to be a great place to work.

Every decision starts with one question

“Is this good for our people?”

That question drives how we hire, how we operate, and how we treat each other. It’s why DWC has earned the Tennessean’s Best Places to Work Award for nine consecutive years, voted on by our own employees, not a committee. In 2025, we were the only company selected to receive the Well-Being Award. In 2026, we ranked in the Top 10 small companies in Middle Tennessee.

Why DWC

We Invest in You

From team events to strengthen internal relationships to ongoing development opportunities, growth doesn’t stop at the job site here. A better you makes a better team, and we’re in this together for the long haul.

We Work Smarter

We’ve built systems and processes that actually work so you can spend your energy where it’s needed. Burnout isn’t a part of us because your life outside of work matters just as much as what happens inside it.

We Win Together

Nobody here works in a silo. When things are good, we celebrate together. When someone needs backup, we show up. We operate as one team, full stop.

We Actually Care

Need help in any way? Great. We have a chaplain to assist with life’s challenges. Teammates to offer a helping hand. Leaders who want to listen and guide. And a company who is genuinely invested in your success. You’ll feel the difference pretty fast.

A Place That Respects the Work You Do

Skilled carpenters are the backbone of what we build. We know that, and we don’t take it for granted. At DWC, you won’t be handed a task list and left on your own. You’ll have the tools, the support, and the team behind you to do your best work.

We get the full team together every couple of months to connect and build community. Nobody here is on an island.

Home Every Night. Real Support. A Team That Has Your Back.

Being a Superintendent is one of the toughest jobs in construction. You’re the person holding everything together on the ground, every single day. We think great Superintendents deserve a company that actually supports them, not one that just hands you a truck and a schedule and wishes you luck.

All of our work is in Middle Tennessee. That means you’re home every night. Every month, our Superintendents meet for lunch to talk through projects, solve problems, and share what’s working. When a job gets tough, the team jumps in. Our Project Managers, Operations team, and fellow Supers don’t leave you to figure it out on your own.

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Lead Projects. Grow a Career. Be Part of Something That Runs Well.

At DWC, Project Managers don’t just manage timelines and budgets. They build relationships, solve problems, and shape what this company looks like for our clients. We work on commercial projects typically ranging from $250K to $15M, and we’re serious about doing them well.

We’ve invested in technology and systems that reduce the administrative grind. You’ll spend more time building and leading, less time chasing paperwork. You’ll also share in the success you help create through our quarterly profit-sharing program.

What We’re Looking For
  • A construction degree is preferred, but we will consider candidates with significant commercial construction experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects; ground-up experience is a plus
  • Experience estimating and managing fast-track projects in the $250K to $15M range
  • Comfortable reading incomplete drawings, identifying gaps, and getting answers from architects or owners
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines without losing your composure
  • A track record of building strong client relationships, the kind where they call you back for the next project
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license; work is within 50 miles of Nashville
What You Can Expect From Us
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Unique and generous quarterly profit-sharing tied to individual and team performance
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Generous PTO plus paid holidays
  • Access to a high-end golf simulator and outdoor workspace overlooking Geodis Park
  • Quarterly team events
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Technology and systems that actually make your job easier
  • A team of PMs, Supers, and operations staff who collaborate, not compete
